Anheuser-Busch InBev Volunteers Brew Creative Solutions for United Way of NYC Nonprofit Partners



The Volunteer Ingredients

Sharp and bright—two words that perfectly capture the difference Anheuser-Busch (AB) InBev volunteers made on August 3, 2018.  

Earlier this month, our friends at AB InBev teamed up with us to conduct a pilot volunteer program that aimed to strengthen the capacity of nonprofit organizations in New York City. After testing the volunteer program in other countries, AB InBev approached us to be their first US program partner because of our deeply rooted relationships with New York City nonprofits.  

The Volunteer Brewing Process

In New York City, AB InBev business experts and global MBA interns rallied together to take on organizational challenges that five of our nonprofit partners are facing—employee retention, tackling health issues, restructuring programs, inventory management, and securing industry sponsorship. In just two hours, AB InBev's teams of experts and interns crafted innovative solutions that they presented to our nonprofit partners. Then, each nonprofit selected the team that brewed the most adoptable solution, and AB InBev leaders offered the “winning” teams even more feedback, fortifying their creative solutions for our nonprofit partners.
