SCHEDULE

WALK

• If you are picking up T-shirts for your entire team in advance of or on the Day of Action, please let your team members know.
• Unless special arrangements have been made, general T-Shirt Pick Up is Wednesday, Sept. 17 at a Capital One Bank branch near you! (See below for locations) Team leaders or individuals can stop in for the shirts.
• Walk check-in is from 8-9:15 a.m. at the northeast corner of City Hall Park (just off Park Row & Centre Street). For subway directions visit hopstop.com.
• Please check-in if you have not picked up your T-shirt in advance.
• Wear your T-shirt during the walk – show how we LIVE UNITED!
• A brief Opening Ceremony will take place at 9:30 a.m. in the south end of City Hall Park – just in front of the fountain.
• The walk, led by the Day of Action Title Sponsor Capital One Bank Team, begins at 10 a.m. – walk distance is approximately 1.5 miles to Cadman Plaza Park
• For Team Leaders – As Team Leader you will want to choose a meeting spot near the south end of the park. (Keep those cell phones handy for calling and texting so no one gets lost in the crowd!)

VOLUNTEER FESTIVAL

• The Volunteer Festival takes place at Cadman Plaza Park in downtown Brooklyn from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
• Everyone is invited to the Festival even if they didn’t walk the bridge – so tell your friends to join you!
• Dozens of nonprofit organizations, New York City agencies and other community groups are hosting tables where you can find volunteer and advocacy opportunities.
• Enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of the festival – you’ll find world music and dance performances, food, activities for kids and more.
• A Star is Born! Check out the LIVE UNITED Video Contest – make your own 1-minute video that will be featured on YouTube. You could win great prizes!
