Women’s Leadership Council Annual Awards Luncheon

United Way of New York City’s Women’s Leadership Council presents an annual luncheon that honors women who have made a significant impact on their communities through philanthropic giving, advocacy, and volunteerism.  Proceeds from the event benefit the Women’s Leadership Council Fund, which supports United Way of New York City’s youth empowerment initiatives.

Past keynote speakers for the luncheon include Susan L. Taylor, Editor-in-Chief Emeritus of ESSENCE Magazine and Founder & CEO of the National CARES Mentoring Movement; Sallie Krawcheck, President, Global Wealth & Investment Management, Bank of America; and noted fashion designer and philanthropist Diane von Furstenberg.  Check out photos from this annual event.  Planning for the 2012 luncheon is already underway.  Contact Jennifer Kain at jkain@uwnyc.org to get involved.
