Senior Vice President & Chief Operating OfficerElwanda Young is Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at United Way of New York City. She is responsible for management of the day-to-day operations and activities of the organization. With a long history at UWNYC, she has previously served as Senior Vice President of Program Integration and Strategic Planning and Vice President of Community Investment.
Elwanda is very active in community life and serves on the board of Elmcor Youth & Adult Activities and as a member of both Black Women for Black Girls Giving Circle and Black Agency Executives. She has been honored for her contributions to the community by Visions/Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired and the New York City Mission Society, and The Network Journal recognized her as one of 25 Influential Black Women in Business.
