Jay Aronowitz

Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Prior to joining United Way of New York City in 2008 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Jay Aronowitz served as the Chief Financial Officer at Safe Horizon, the nation's leading victim assistance organization. He was with Safe Horizon for more than 12 years in a number of financial management capacities.

Previously Jay was the Budget Director at The Fortune Society and held various accounting/financial positions with government agencies, including eight years with the New York City Office of the Mayor, where his roles included Director of Fiscal Operations and Agency Chief Contracting Officer.

Jay is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in both New York and New Jersey. He is a graduate of Brooklyn College and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
