Myeta M. Moon

Associate Vice President, Health

Myeta M. Moon is the Associate Vice President of Health for United Way of New York City, where she has been instrumental in developing and implementing program-to-policy initiatives that address issues of food and nutrition in underserved New York City communities.

Myeta previously served as an Assistant Legislative Representative for the New York City Mayor's Office.  In that role she advocated on behalf of the City's Health and Human Services agencies to the New York State Legislature, Governor's Office, and New York State agencies.

Prior to her time at the Mayor's Office, Myeta worked for the NYC Coalition for a Smoke-Free City where she helped to plan and implement tobacco-control projects, strengthened partnerships with community-based organizations to implement grant-funded education programs, and mobilized coalition members to advocate for significant tobacco-control policy.

Before joining the Coalition, Myeta worked for the American Cancer Society, New York City Metro region and in the Social Marketing Department at Porter Novelli in Washington, DC.

Myeta holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia and a Master's of Public Health from Columbia University.
