Volunteer Projects

Volunteer Opportunities

Throughout the year, United Way of New York City helps our corporate partners foster teamwork while giving back to the community via group volunteer projects.  We can match companies with one of our community-based nonprofit partners and tailor an experience based on their specific needs.  Team-based projects can be on- or off-site.

In-house projects might include stuffing backpacks for underserved youth, assembling first aid or hygiene kits, decorating reusable food bags for a food pantry, or creating greeting cards.

Off-site projects might include giving a fresh coat of paint to a day care center, planting a garden, doing crafts projects with or reading to children, organizing and packing food at a food pantry, and preparing and serving meals at a soup kitchen.
