The five-person town-hall-style panel discussion, moderated by Errol Louis, political anchor for NY1 News, explored redefining the future of business through education, equity, and empathy.
Panelists included Roger Arrieux, Auditor and Assurance Partner and Inclusion Council NY, Member, Deloitte; Rosevelie Márquez Morales, East Coast Diversity Director, Sidley Austin LLP; Karyn Twaronite, Partner, Global Diversity & Inclusiveness Officer, EY; Jeffery Wallace, President & CEO, LeadersUp; and Sheena Wright, President & CEO, United Way of New York City.
Topics addressed during the event included equipping schools and educators to cultivate an equity mindset, how the current political climate is affecting work in communities across NYC, how empathy can impact a company’s bottom-line, and the importance of cross-sector partnerships to the success of industry, community, and workforce development.
