UWNYC is a founding member of the Policy Committee on New York City Hunger Resources. Together with our nonprofit (Food Bank For New York City and City Harvest) and government (NYS DOH HPNAP, HRA-EFAP, and NYCDOHMH) partners, we collaborate to establish policies and procedures for emergency food programs and coordinate resources to foster an effective and efficient emergency food distribution system. UWNYC also participates in the Food Assistance Collaborative (FAC), a cross-sector initiative to improve the efficiency and capacity of the emergency food distribution network in New York City. This collaborative is supported through funding by the Helmsley Charitable Trust.
