Food Support Connections: Additional Resources

United Way of New York City strives to ensure that communities across the five boroughs build economic stability and that individuals and families lead healthy lives. In addition to the work we do with Food Support Connections, here are some other options you have to address your food needs.

Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP)

EFSP provides income support to low-income New Yorkers on an emergency basis to prevent hunger, preserve housing, provide shelter, and support basic energy needs.

Call 212-962-4795 to speak with someone at the Emergency Rent Coalition for help.

Hunger Prevention and Nutrition Assistance Program (HPNAP)

United Way of New York City provides funding, training, and technical assistance to 400+ pantries and soup kitchens through HPNAP.

To receive help from a site that works with HPNAP, call the Hunger Hotline,  1-866-888-8777.
